Crazy Time Review: The Wheel, the Bonus Rounds and the Real Odds
The Crazy Time live casino game launched in July 2020 and became the most-played live game show in the world, with roughly nine and a half thousand people on it at any given moment. It is not a slot. There is a studio, a presenter, a 54-segment money wheel and four separate bonus games behind it, streamed 24 hours a day.
The appeal is straightforward: a bonus round arrives roughly every sixth spin, and the biggest of them has paid 25,000x. The catch is equally straightforward and less advertised, which is that the RTP swings by more than a point and a half depending on what you bet on. This Crazy Time game review covers both.

How Crazy Time Works
You place bets during a 15-second window, the presenter spins the wheel, and where it stops decides everything.
The wheel has 54 segments. Most carry a number, 1, 2, 5 or 10, which pays that multiple of your stake if you backed it. The rest carry one of the four bonus games. Land on a bonus segment and only players who backed that specific bonus advance into it. Everyone else watches.
The Top Slot is the second wheel. It spins simultaneously above the main wheel and pairs a bet spot with a random multiplier of up to 50x. If your bet matches the spot the Top Slot lands on, your payout is multiplied. This applies to numbers and bonus games alike, and it is why an identical bonus round can pay wildly different amounts on different spins.
The segment distribution matters. There are four Coin Flip segments, two Cash Hunt, two Pachinko and only one Crazy Time, which is why the headline bonus is rare and why the numbers pay so much less.
The Four Bonus Games
Coin Flip

The most common bonus, on four segments. A coin with a blue side and a red side is assigned two separate multipliers, one per side, then flipped. Whichever lands face up pays.
If both multipliers come up low, a Rescue Flip can trigger, re-rolling the multipliers at no extra cost. Coin Flip can reach 5,000x, but only with a 50x Top Slot multiplier attached.
Cash Hunt

A shooting gallery with 108 multipliers hidden behind symbols on a large screen. The grid shuffles, then every player aims at their own target before a timer runs out. A cannon fires and reveals what each person picked.
This is the only bonus where players get different outcomes from the same round, and it is where all three of the game's record wins have come from.
Pachinko

A puck drops down a wall of pegs into prize zones at the bottom. Land in a zone marked Double and every multiplier on the board doubles, then the puck drops again. That loop repeats until it hits a real multiplier or reaches the 10,000x ceiling.
Crazy Time

The headline round, and the reason for the name. One segment on the entire wheel. A red door opens onto a virtual wheel packed with multipliers, doubles and triples. You choose a blue, green or yellow flapper before it spins, and you win whatever your flapper lands on. Doubles and triples respin the wheel with everything increased, up to 20,000x.
RTP and Odds by Bet

This is the part most Crazy Time coverage skips, and it is the most useful thing on this page.
The RTP is not one number. It ranges from 94.41% to 96.08%, and where you sit in that range depends entirely on which bet you place. The bonus segments and the number segments do not return the same amount over time.
Two consequences follow. Spreading a stake across every bet spot does not average the return in your favour, it just guarantees exposure to the lower-returning options. And the bonus rounds that produce the memorable results are also the ones you will lose most often, because a bonus lands roughly once every six spins and only pays those who backed that exact segment.
For context, 96.08% at the top of the range is respectable for a live game show. 94.41% at the bottom is below almost any slot in the same lobby.
Crazy Time Stats and Trackers
Crazy Time has spawned an entire tracking ecosystem, and it is worth understanding what it can and cannot do.
Evolution publishes spin history, recent top multipliers and daily-updated hit frequencies. Third-party Crazy Time trackers go further, showing latest spins over rolling windows from the past hour to the past 72, live player counts, and push alerts when a big win lands. At the time of writing, roughly 9,525 players were on Crazy Time, part of about 85,800 across all Evolution game shows.
What the stats are good for: seeing how often each segment has actually landed, checking the size of recent multipliers, and getting a feel for the game before you stake anything.
What they cannot do is predict anything. Every spin is independent. A segment that has not appeared in fifty rounds is no more likely to appear on the next one. Evolution states this plainly on its own statistics page, and it is worth repeating because the entire tracker ecosystem is built in a way that implies otherwise.
Watching a Crazy Time tracker is entertainment and orientation. It is not an edge.
Biggest Wins on Record
Three results dominate the record books, and all three came from Cash Hunt:
Date | Bonus round | Multiplier |
|---|---|---|
11 December 2022 | Cash Hunt | 25,000x |
8 November 2022 | Cash Hunt | 12,500x |
20 January 2022 | Cash Hunt | 12,500x |
That the top three all came from the same bonus is not coincidence. Cash Hunt gives every player an individual target from a 108-multiplier grid, so a single round can produce one enormous outcome for one person while everyone else takes something ordinary.
Note the ceiling arithmetic. The Crazy Time bonus is capped at 20,000x, so the 25,000x Cash Hunt result exceeds the headline round's own maximum.
Watch the Big Rounds Back
A Pachinko puck doubling four times, or a Cash Hunt cannon revealing a four-figure multiplier, is the reason people play this game and impossible to convey in a table.
We hold big win replays of Crazy Time rounds, including the bonus games resolving at full multiplier. On a game where a bonus arrives roughly once every six spins and the good ones are far rarer, watching the outcomes back is the cheapest way to understand what you are actually hoping for.
Crazy Time Casinos: Where to Play in the US
Evolution Crazy Time is stocked at every licensed US casino we have reviewed that runs an Evolution live floor, which is nearly all of them. What differs is the stake range, and the spread is wide.
Casino | Crazy Time stake | Expert Score |
|---|---|---|
DraftKings | $1 – $5,000 | 4.1 MI · 3.8 WV |
Caesars Palace | $0.50 – $2,000 | 3.1 MI · 3.6 WV |
Horseshoe | $0.50 – $2,000 | 3.3 MI · 3.6 WV |
BetRivers | from $0.50 | 3.9 MI · 3.9 WV |
FanDuel | from $0.50 | 3.7 MI · 3.7 WV |
BetMGM, Golden Nugget | in lobby | 3.5 / 3.7 |
Among Crazy Time casinos, DraftKings allows the highest ceiling at $5,000, two and a half times anywhere else, and scores highest of any casino we have graded. Caesars Palace, Horseshoe, BetRivers and FanDuel all open at $0.50, half DraftKings' minimum. A lower minimum lets you keep each bet small, but backing several segments at once still adds up to a bigger total stake per round, and as the RTP section explains, it doesn’t improve your return.
For which operators carry this studio and how deep each live floor runs, see our guide to Evolution casino sites.
Bonuses and the Crazy Time Live Casino Game
No US operator runs a promotion built around Crazy Time, and live game shows are the category most likely to be restricted in bonus terms.
Contribution rates are usually low or zero. Slots typically count 100% toward wagering; live dealer and game show content frequently counts far less or is excluded entirely. Clearing a bonus on Crazy Time is often not possible at all.
Maximum bet rules apply. With a $5,000 ceiling at DraftKings, a single large bet can breach a bonus stake cap and void the balance.
Check the contribution table before assuming any bonus play here counts. This is one of the more common places players discover an exclusion after the fact.
Crazy Time vs the Alternatives
Evolution built a second studio, Crazy Time A, purely to meet demand. It runs identical gameplay and features on a separate stream, so if the main table is busy the A version is the same game.
Within the wider game show category, the closest comparisons are Monopoly Live, Dream Catcher and Lightning Roulette. Dream Catcher is the simplest, a pure money wheel with no bonus rounds. Monopoly Live has one bonus round rather than four. Lightning Roulette is a different game entirely but competes for the same audience with its multiplier mechanic.
Crazy Time's advantage is variety: four separate bonus games from one wheel, each playing differently. Its disadvantage is that four bonus segments competing for the same wheel space means any specific one you back is rarer than a single-bonus game would give you.
About Evolution
Evolution is the dominant live casino supplier worldwide and the studio behind almost every live dealer table in the regulated US market. It runs physical studios inside the states it serves, including one in Southfield, Michigan.
Crazy Time is its most successful game show and the flagship of a category it largely invented, alongside Monopoly Live, Lightning Dice, Cash or Crash, Funky Time and Mega Ball.
Should You Play It?
Crazy Time is entertainment first and a betting proposition second, and it is honest about that. A live presenter, a bonus segment on roughly one spin in six and four genuinely different mini-games make it more engaging than anything on a slot reel, though a bonus only pays if you backed that exact segment.
The maths is the counterweight. An RTP that bottoms out at 94.41% is worse than most slots in the same lobby, the segment you want is rare by design, and the tracker culture around the game encourages a belief in patterns that do not exist.
Play Crazy Time online for the show, at a stake you would spend on an evening's entertainment, and it delivers. Play it expecting the 25,000x, and the odds of that specific outcome are not in any table on this page for a reason.
All of this applies only inside a regulated market. To check where that includes, compare legal US online casino sites.
FAQ
What is the Crazy Time RTP?
Between 94.41% and 96.08%, depending which bet you place. The number segments and the four bonus segments return different amounts over time, so there is no single figure for the game as a whole.
How often do bonus rounds trigger?
On average about once every six spins, though the distribution is random. Coin Flip has four segments on the wheel, Cash Hunt and Pachinko two each, and the Crazy Time bonus only one.
What is the maximum win?
The Crazy Time bonus round is capped at 20,000x and Pachinko at 10,000x. The largest recorded result was 25,000x from a Cash Hunt round on 11 December 2022.
Can Crazy Time stats predict the next spin?
No. Every spin is independent, and Evolution states this on its own statistics page. Trackers are useful for seeing what has happened, not what will.
Where can I play Crazy Time online in the US?
Every Crazy Time online casino we have reviewed with an Evolution live floor carries it, including DraftKings, BetRivers, FanDuel, Caesars Palace, Horseshoe, BetMGM and Golden Nugget. Stakes run from $0.50 to $5,000 depending on the operator.
Is there a Crazy Time demo?
Evolution runs a free-play demo site for education, but live game shows are real-money products in casino lobbies. You can watch rounds without betting at most casinos, which is the closest thing to a free trial.
What is the Top Slot?
A second wheel spinning alongside the main one. It pairs a bet spot with a multiplier of up to 50x, and if your bet matches that spot your payout is multiplied.
What is Crazy Time A?
A second studio Evolution built to handle demand. Same gameplay, same features, separate stream.
Can I watch Crazy Time without betting?
Yes. The stream runs 24/7 and you can observe rounds without placing a bet, including watching bonus games you have not backed.
Who makes Crazy Time?
